The Ouzo Jivaeri is made in the city of Tirnavos by the Katsaros family. The distillery, which has been family-owned for generations, has been in operation since 1856 and is considered the oldest ouzo distillery in Greece and therefore the oldest ouzo distillery in the world also. The Katsaros Jivaeri Ouzo convinces with a fine and soft taste, which is characterized by a well-dosed mixture of herbs. The original recipe of the Jivaeri has remained unchanged to this day and is subject to family secrecy.
The Jivaeri gets its unique, balanced and mildly spicy taste from its dose of aniseed and the addition of 14 herbs and spices. The high-quality alcohol consists exclusively of natural raw materials. This quality product is the result of complex filtration and the addition of mineral-rich water from Mount Olympus.
The result is an ouzo with a natural aroma and a long-lasting finish.
