Mezedes - side dishes, starters, Greek

Although there are various so-called mezedes in the categories "Legumes and pasta", "Cheese and salads" and "Canned foods and frozen foods", you will still find more delicacies from traditional and popular starters and side dishes.

Mezedes are considered starters, but in Greece they are mostly small dishes with varied ingredients that are served with a wine, ouzo or tsipouro. These specialties are served in small portions and consist mainly of fish, vegetables and cheese.
