Cretan rusks 600 g
This rusk - also called Paximadi Koulouritza - is a fine Cretan bread specialty from the wood-burning oven and forms the basis for the Cretan "Dakos". The barley flour bread is baked twice. You sprinkle it lightly with water and then refine it with onion, tomato and also feta cheese. There is also a good olive oil and spices. Because this rusk is not particularly sweet, it goes perfectly with savory and strong to spicy dishes.
