The recipe has been in the Katsaros family, which runs the oldest ouzo distillery in the world, for four generations. For more than 160 years this high-quality, 100% distilled ouzo has been produced here. The Jivaeri not only gets its unique, balanced, spicy taste from its dose of anise, but also from the finely tuned addition of 14 other herbs and spices. The high-quality alcohol is obtained exclusively from natural raw materials and the quality product Ouzo Jivaeri is only created through complex filtration and the addition of mineral-rich and crystal-clear water from Mount Olympus. The result is a natural aroma and a long-lasting finish.
