Thyme, Greek from Mount Olympos. (organically grown)
Made from the herb plant thyme, this product is naturally dried and processed. By this way, the original taste and the typical aroma are preserved. The fresh color shows the best quality also.
With its intense aroma, thyme goes well with many dishes, as with oven dishes, casseroles, grilled meat, grilled vegetables and for marinating meat or fish. Also suitable for different types of cheese, pies and also for salads.

Also worth a try is a thyme soup, as it has been prepared by monks and Catalan shepherds since ancient times: To do this, leave a sprig or two of thyme in a cup with hot water, add a little oil and enjoy this recipe with dry bread. Simple, extraordinary and delicious.
Preparation: Place (a glass / a cup) of water and a teaspoon of dried thyme in a teapot. Then (cover with a cloth and) let it steep for approx. 5-10 minutes. Then sieve tea if necessary and sweeten with sugar or honey. A small pinch of oregano gives the drink a special note.

To make the thyme only the flowering tips and leaves are used. (The flowers themself are not used for cooking because they become bitter.) The resulting spice is much more intense in the dried state than in the raw state. So the dried thyme can and should be used sparingly and dosed well.
